The home installation reinvented
Project
Supplying the Streda home installation system for the 88 Horizon timber-frame homes by Heijmans, designed for families as well as single and two-person households. These biobased homes are produced 100% CO₂-neutral in Heijmans’ new timber-frame housing factory in Heerenveen.
With Streda, Isolectra offers a flexible home installation featuring smart sockets that do much more than just supply power.
“Streda is a flexible IoT-based home installation system, specially developed to easily connect and manage all technical connections in the home. At the core of the system are a universal cable, standardized mounting boxes (docks), and a portfolio of snap-in modules with various functions, such as a socket, smoke detector, doorbell, light switch, and data connection—together forming an integrated and flexible home network.”

- Flexible home installation
- Data and power in one cable
- Prefab
- Sustainable
- Smart and efficient

One universal cable for transmitting both power and high-speed data signals. The pluggable cable runs from dock to dock and is already integrated into the 2D wall and ceiling modules during factory production. This means that on-site installation is simply a matter of connecting cables, eliminating the need for conduit systems and the time-consuming process of pulling power and data cables afterward. Thanks to Streda, significantly fewer people are required inside the home during construction, and the overall lead time on-site is greatly reduced. The home installation can be completed in a maximum of two hours. Another major advantage for prefab builders is that extensive standardization becomes possible.
