Pluggable electrical installation for House of Arnhem

Contract

The former ING office building on Velperweg has been transformed into 153 rental flats for young starters. In order to make the building suitable for residential use, various structural and system changes were implemented. The building shell was stripped and rearranged. Linthorst Techniek commissioned Isolectra to supply the Wieland pluggable electrical installations here.

Seamless coupling

For each room, two pre-assembled junction boxes with Wieland cables and connectors were mounted above the suspended ceilings. From these centre boxes, the electrical installers could easily continue plugging in the light switches and/or wall sockets in the walls. The Jung switchgear in this project was supplied by Hateha. This company was closely involved in the preliminary phase to ensure a seamless connection.

Minimal failure costs, short lead times

All junction boxes and connecting cables are fully coded and delivered to the project in room kits using the just-in-time principle. The codes corresponded exactly to the assembly drawings, allowing the electrical installers to install quickly and without error, resulting in considerable time gains. Isolectra and Linthorst Techniek proved that pluggable electrical installation is not only excellent for utility projects, but also for transforming offices into homes in this project in Arnhem.
