The Railpuck is a plug-and-play lighting solution designed for installation in the rail track, improving illumination of service paths at sidings near stations, port tracks, and industrial areas, enhancing safety for drivers and staff. For simple, fast, and error-free installation of the Railpuck, RAILLIGHTING relied on Isolectra’s Wieland pluggable coupling cables.

Railpuck luminaires with pluggable coupling cables

At the core of the lighting solution is a driver, connected in the power pit next to the track. Every 3.5 meters, a Railpuck luminaire is mounted in the rail, with Wieland pluggable coupling cables providing the necessary power supply. The system is designed to easily achieve lengths of up to 600 meters.

Mola Device Connector

Thanks to Wieland’s RST16® Mola Device Connector, pluggable wiring inside a Railpuck luminaire is also possible. The Mola Device Connector uses clamp connections that provide extra security: the conductors are always firmly fixed. Loosening due to vibration, as can happen with screws, is not an issue. Especially for installation in the rail track, where vibrations are a daily occurrence, this is a highly valuable feature.
