Circular pluggable installation technology for modular homes – Tala

Factory builder Tala specializes in bio-based modular homes. Loohuis-Assies Installatietechnieken plays a crucial role in their installation technology. Together with partners ABB, Isolectra, and Rexel, they are working on innovative circular solutions that align with modular construction. The requirement for this project was an installation that, like the homes themselves, had to be modular, standardized, and demountable.

Prefab Plug & play Solution

With ABB, Isolectra, and Rexel, Loohuis-Assies has suppliers on board who have embraced the circular philosophy for four years and are continuously finding ways to close their own loops. Building on this shared foundation, the parties searched for a suitable solution. They ultimately opted for a pluggable plug & play installation using Wieland GST®. The electrical system is pre-assembled in the factory as a ready-to-install prefab solution.

Modular industrial construction offers many advantages, including higher quality standards, greater efficiency, and reduced failure costs. That’s a major benefit in a market struggling with a shortage of skilled technicians. Pluggable installation is fully in line with today’s requirements. It also means far fewer trips to the construction site, less waste, and so on.
