Pluggable installation becomes even more efficient with proper work preparation

Transformation of De Swollenaer in Zwolle

In Zwolle, the De Swollenaer office building is being transformed into 87 modern, sustainable apartments for various target groups. Thanks to the use of ready-made components, the building can be repurposed quickly, sustainably, and cost-effectively. While contractor Plegt-Vos Oost works with prefab façades and bathrooms, Keizers Installatietechniek has opted for Isolectra’s Wieland pluggable installation technology.

From Traditional to Pluggable

Due to the prefab construction method applied by Plegt-Vos Oost, Keizers Installatietechniek also explored alternative installation methods instead of traditional wiring. The possibilities of pluggable installation with Isolectra were assessed, and the benefits quickly became clear. Less material is required, and installation can be carried out in a much more sustainable, faster, and efficient way, resulting in significant savings in time and costs, a perfect solution for this project.

Wieland GST^® and RST^®

In De Swollenaer, both the Wieland GST® and RST® installation systems are being used. While Wieland GST® is specifically designed for dry indoor environments, Wieland RST® can be embedded directly into concrete floors. The biggest challenge here is ensuring that the positions in the floors and walls align perfectly. During the preparation phase, the pluggable installations were fully engineered at apartment level, with positions, heights, cable routing, and cable lengths carefully coordinated in close consultation.
