Smarter Building with Wieland: Prefab as a Driver of Quality

What is prefab plug & play installation?

The construction sector is changing rapidly. Prefab and modular building methods are gaining ground and require a new approach to installation. We are responding to this shift with the Wieland GST® and RST® systems: plug & play solutions that help installation companies work faster, more efficiently, and more sustainably, without compromising on quality.

Prefab plug & play installation means that electrical systems are pre-assembled in the factory or workshop.
Cables, distribution boxes, and connectors are connected plug & play to pre-tested sockets and switches.
On the construction site, the focus shifts from installation to assembly: fast, error-free, and repeatable.

A suitable solution for every environment

Dry conditions: Wieland GST® is specifically designed for dry indoor environments such as timber walls, ceilings, and floors. This compact system is ideal for prefab timber frame construction and modular housing. Thanks to its maintenance-free certification, it can also be safely used in inaccessible spaces.

Wet and demanding conditions: For humid environments and concrete construction, Isolectra offers the robust Wieland RST® system. This IP65/66/67/68/69-certified system is unique in the market: it can be embedded directly into prefab concrete building elements. Installation without conduits or cable glands becomes a reality.

Smart connections for skilled professionals

Plug & play installation is an extension of craftsmanship. The systems are designed for fast assembly, maximum reliability, and ease of installation. Installers can work more efficiently, plan projects better, and deliver faster, even when skilled personnel are in short supply.

Sustainable and Circulair

Plug & play installation also means detachable installation. Any changes can be made easily, extending the lifespan of the system. During renovation or demolition, components can be disassembled and reused after certification. This aligns with circular construction and minimizes waste on the building site.

National Environmental Database

The Wieland GST® and RST® systems are listed in the National Environmental Database with a category 1 environmental declaration. Architects, consultants, and installers can use this data for product comparisons and to calculate environmental performance. Isolectra also offers a take-back guarantee, which is not only sustainable but also cost-saving.

Working together for the future

Prefab plug & play installation is more than a technical solution; it's a new way of working that combines craftsmanship, efficiency, and sustainability. Whether it's concrete construction, timber frame, or CLT: with Wieland GST® and RST® systems from Isolectra, installation becomes scalable, reliable, and future-proof. Thanks to their inclusion in the National Environmental Database and the possibility of circular reuse, plug & play installation actively contributes to a more sustainable construction sector. Isolectra supports installers every step of the way, from design to delivery. Together, we’re building a smarter, faster, and more sustainable future.
