Condensation in your watertight light fixtures? Extra protection with contact seals
To ensure absolutely no water can get in to disrupt the technology - especially when it is being used outdoors - the Wieland RST^®Micro connector is now also available with an optional water trap function. Any moisture is trapped by an internal sealing system to prevent it from penetrating further and potentially damaging the installation. The leaking section can be effectively isolated and repaired.

Why is this function necessary? It offers additional protection to cable installations. Temperature fluctuations and the resulting condensation, improper installation and damaged cables can be your greatest enemies when moisture manages to penetrate the equipment via the cable (the so-called capillary effect)! This is where the seals come in; every contact has its own extra seal to prevent water from getting in via the cable and the contacts (waterproof lengthwise).
