Colour coding prevents installation errors
Incorrect connections on site waste time and cause malfunctions. With Wieland GST18® and GST15® connectors, colour coding makes it immediately clear which connection is intended for which application.
Easy identification in electrical installations
In modern electrical installations, power supply, control and specialised circuits often run alongside one another. The colour and mechanical coding of Wieland GST18® connectors makes it immediately clear which connection belongs to which application, helping to prevent incorrect connections.
GST18i3®: 3-pole applications
The 3-pole GST18i3® is the most widely used version. Black/white is used for 230 V mains power (L-N-PE) and is suitable for lighting and socket outlets. Brown is intended for switching applications and prevents mix-ups with power supply circuits. Grey and red are used in UPS installations and separate power supply networks.
GST18i5®: 5-pole applications
Within the 5-pole GST18i5® series, black/white is used for three-phase installations, for example in commercial buildings and kitchens. Green is specifically intended for cooking appliance circuits, preventing connections to power circuits. Pastel blue is suitable for DALI lighting, where power and control are combined. Light blue is used for SELV applications up to 50V.
GST15® for DALI
The Wieland GST15® series is widely used for DALI signals. The 2-pole, pastel-blue GST15i2® is often combined with a GST18i3® power supply connector. Its touch-safe design makes it well suited to LED and DALI systems.
