Prefab installation
What is prefab installation?
Prefab construction (or: prefabrication) is a process in construction whereby materials are pre-assembled in a factory or workshop into ready-made elements that are easy to transport, hoist and fit. The elements are transported to the construction site at exactly the right time, where they only need to be connected like Lego bricks. Prefab construction is possible for walls, floors, roofs and façade elements, and the like. Bathrooms and toilet areas are also increasingly coming from prefab factories. The same applies to installation components such as air ducts, piping systems and energy distribution systems. Here, it’s even possible to prefabricate the entire process from the distributors to the switches, lighting points and sensors!

Benefits of pluggable installation in prefab construction
In general, the combination of prefab construction and pluggable installations makes the construction process faster, more efficient, cost-effective, and flexible and increases the overall quality and sustainability of construction projects. Here are some benefits highlighted in figures.

The added value of Isolectra in prefab construction
Labelling and sealing
1. Traceability
Labels provide clear identification of components, making it easier for mechanics and maintenance staff to find and identify the relevant parts.
2. Organisation
It helps organise components and wiring, which is crucial for system maintenance and safety.
3. Efficiency
It increases the efficiency of both installation and maintenance by reducing the time spent searching for components.
4. Safety
Clearly labelled components reduce the risk of errors, increasing safety.

Prefab switchgear
Prefab switchgear refers to switchgear components that are manufactured in advance in a controlled environment, rather than assembled on site. Using prefab switchgear in construction projects offers several advantages:
1. Time saving
By using prefab switchgear, installation time can be significantly reduced, leading to faster project completion.
2. Cost savings
Less time on site means lower labour costs
Less waste and less need for materials on site can also save costs
3. Reduced error margins
Prefabrication in a controlled environment ensures higher accuracy and reduces the likelihood of errors and defects during installation.
4. Quality control
Production in a controlled environment means that stricter quality controls can be carried out, resulting in higher quality levels for final products.
