Plug-and-play installation with Wieland has become an integral part of modern electrical installation practice. Plug-and-play systems are increasingly used in residential construction, commercial and utility buildings, horticulture and industrial projects because of the speed, reliability and flexibility they offer.

By using prefabricated cabling and plug-and-play components, installations can be completed faster while significantly reducing the risk of installation errors. This results in lower failure-related costs, a clear and well-organised installation, and a more efficient installation process on site. In addition, plug-and-play systems are easy to expand or modify, making them highly suitable for renovation and customised projects.

Wieland plug-and-play systems for every application
Within plug-and-play installation, the Wieland GST18® and RST20® systems are widely used solutions. The Wieland GST18® system is commonly used in dry environments, for example for lighting, socket outlets and switches in residential and commercial buildings.

For more demanding conditions, Wieland offers the RST20® system. Thanks to its high IP66/68/69K protection rating, these components are suitable for prefabricated concrete construction, outdoor installations and industrial applications where moisture, dust and mechanical loads are important factors.

A major advantage: Wieland products are also available individually
In addition to the benefits of plug-and-play installation mentioned above, a major advantage for installers is that the vast majority of Wieland plug-and-play products are also available individually through ETG. This means installers do not have to work with standard packaging quantities, but can order exactly the components required for a specific project.

Whether you need individual GST18® cables, RST20® connectors, distributors or other components: everything is available separately. This provides maximum flexibility during both project preparation and installation. Installers can purchase materials precisely according to their requirements, allowing material usage to be better aligned with actual needs and reducing waste. This is particularly beneficial for renovation, extension and customised projects.

This approach also makes it easier to implement changes quickly during installation. Additional or replacement components can be added immediately without having to purchase unnecessary materials, keeping the project efficient and well organised.

Combined with the benefits of plug-and-play installation, this makes Wieland systems a practical and future-proof solution for both small and large electrical installation projects.
