The pressure on the construction industry is increasing. Projects need to be completed faster, failure-related costs need to be reduced, and clients are increasingly demanding sustainable solutions. For installers, circular plug-and-play installation is therefore becoming an increasingly attractive option.

Faster installation with lower failure-related costs
Plug-and-play installations have been popular for years because they enable fast and reliable installation. Complete prefabricated cables and distributors can be easily connected using plug-and-play connections. This delivers immediate practical benefits:

  • Less installation time on site
  • Lower risk of installation errors
  • Flexible installations that are easy to modify
  • Lower labour and failure-related costs

Circularity is becoming increasingly important
Plug-and-play installation with Wieland now offers more than just efficiency gains. Significant progress is also being made in the area of circularity.

For example, used Wieland GST18® cables are collected after renovation projects, tested and recertified for reuse. This allows installers to work safely with reliable re-used components that can be deployed immediately in new projects.

New Wieland plug-and-play systems also contribute to circular construction. Thanks to an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and registration in the Dutch National Environmental Database, their environmental impact can be assessed transparently. In addition, the systems remain fully demountable, allowing materials to be reused at a later stage.

Opportunities in tenders and renovation projects
This creates increasing opportunities for installers. Tenders and project specifications are increasingly calling for circular solutions and reused materials. By gaining experience with circular plug-and-play installation now, installers can respond directly to this growing demand.

The increasing renovation of commercial and utility buildings is also making more used Wieland plug-and-play systems available for reuse. As a result, the availability of circular components on the market is growing as well.

Prepared for the future
With circular plug-and-play installation, you combine speed on site with sustainable practices while preparing for future requirements from clients and regulations.
