In practice, connectors are regularly tested by certification and inspection bodies. A test report demonstrates that a specific combination has been assessed under controlled conditions. However, it does not provide assurance for other configurations. Certification goes one step further and also covers aspects such as design, documentation, and production control.

For installers, it is important to work according to the manufacturer’s specifications and instructions. When combining components, uncertainty may arise regarding system responsibility. Factors to consider include mechanical compatibility, contact quality, thermal performance, and the consistency of future deliveries.

For this reason, many projects choose one complete integrated system from a single manufacturer. This provides clarity during installation, inspection, and maintenance.
