The Netherlands has traditionally been a major player in horticulture. The country is one of the largest food-exporting countries in the world. Every year, Dutch growers export billions of euros' worth of vegetables, flowers, and plants. However, the increasing population growth forces national governments to increase domestic vegetable production and focus on a higher degree of self-sufficiency. Additionally, the legalization of cannabis in many countries is leading to an increasing demand for applications in horticulture.

Isolectra, together with Wieland Electric, has developed the RST^® concept; a plug & play installation concept that is extremely suitable for use in a challenging environment such as horticulture. All RST^® products are certified IP66, IP67, IP68, and/or IP69. This concept is already being applied in many horticultural companies around the world and has even become the market standard.
